Outdoor Discovery Center will host their annual No Family Left Inside Activity Night & Pig Roast (prepared by Beechwood Inn).  Sample a wide variety of exciting outdoor activities and learn what is available at the ODC including:  catch a fish in one of ODCs ponds; kayaking; bow & arrows; hay ride; get acquainted with local wildlife.

Allegan County United Way and Volunteer Center will host a picnic to thank the public for supporting its 2010 campaign from 11am - 1pm at Jaycee Park in Allegan.

"From the Wreck of the Hennepin to a Journey on the Maumee", maritime archaeologist Valerie van Heest shares the fascinating story of Great Lakes' freighters.  She take us underwater to explore the ship wreck Hennepin, the world's first self-unloading vessel, which her team found in deep water off South Haven.  Then above water, experiencing the 620-foot self-unloading freighter Maumee, the Lake's oldest operating self-unloading freighter.
