Several local artists will gather in downtown Wayland businesses and feature and/or sell their art from 5 - 9pm.  Some venues will be providing live music and refreshments.

Scott Gundersen, one of the artists that was featured in the Grand Rapids Art Prize and an art teacher at Wayland High School, will be at the Daily Brews Cafe during the Art Hop.

The Children's Museum of Fennville, 202 E Main St, will offer pre-Christmas shopping, a bake sale, raffle tickets and pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Otsego High School's vocal music department will present its Medieval Dinner on Dec 4 and 5 at 7pm in the high school cafeteria.  The high school will be transformed into a Renaissance castle and patrons will dine by candlelight while watching dances, skits, and medieval drama.  The event is staged every other year under the direction of Sarah Haase, Otsego High School's vocal music instructor.

Tickets are $24/person and are available at the high school or by calling 269-692-6166.

Residents of Lee Township will gather for their annual Tree Lighting and Holiday Social starting at 7pm at the corner of 56th St and 109th Ave.

From 5 to 7pm participants are invited to stroll through local businesses for refreshments and to receive stamps on stamp cards.  Cards are available at Pizza Plus.

The social will feature a live manger scene, carols sung by the Rawson family, a performance by Pullman Elementary School students, and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, complete with a gift for each child in attendance.

Monterey Center United Methodist Church will host two holiday concerts at Griswold Auditorium.

"Christmas with the Williams Family", a holiday concert featuring a special performance by the Hamilton High School Choir, will perform Friday, Dec 4; Hometown Christmas will be Saturday, Dec 5. 

Admission is free.  Both concerts begin at 7pm and freewill offerings will be taken to benefit Wings of Hope Hospice.

Folk celebration centered around Sinterklaas, the benevolent St. Nicholas.  In true Dutch tradition, Sinterklaas arrives each December on his white horse, surrounded by his mischievous Zwarte Piet helpers in Downtown Holland.

At Wayland City Mini Park located downtown Wayland at the corner of Superior and Main.  Sing-a-longs, storytelling, free refreshments of hot cocoa/cider/donuts, and keep warm by one of several firepits.

Immediately following the tree lighting, the Wayland Neighborhood Watch Group will have a Community Christmas Light Chain (human string of lights).  Everyone should bring a flashlight, and the group will place a balloon on the end of the flashlight.  A human chain will then form to portray an extensive string of Christmas lights.  Donations will be accepted to help cover the costs of window clings for safe homes and street signs.

Lineup at 10am in front of the Wayland VFW Hall.  The parade will proceed north on Main St., west on Superior St to the Wayland Fire Department.  The parade will be followed by a visit from Santa & Mrs Claus at the Fire Station.  There will be a back drop and Santa chair for pictures; visitors are encouraged to bring their own cameras.
