What Do We Do?
Animal Control is under the purview of the Sheriff’s Office and consists of two Animal Control Officers who patrol the county and respond to complaints regarding domestic animals such as dogs and cats. They respond to calls for assistance with dogs running at large, animal bites, strays, etc. They also perform kennel inspections.
Members of this unit are charged with enforcing laws and ordinances that pertain to domestic animals, including livestock, dogs and cats, and issuing violations.
