The Dive and Rescue Team is made up of highly trained and well equipped members of the Sheriff's Office. These officers train on a regular basis to maintain their skills and keep up with new theories and procedures.  Rescues, search and recoveries, and evidence collection operations can occur at any time of the day or night and at any time of year. This team must be able to respond and complete their mission.   Toward this end, the team utilizes a hovercraft, a dive van, and a dive boat along with equipment issued to individual members.

The Dive and Rescue Team also presents programs for schools or community groups on Water Safety and Diving Information.
