The Sheriff’s Office is responsible for providing security for the Courts.  With the advent of heightened homeland security, licensed police officers now guard the main entrance to the courthouse, and search all visitors to the building.  This unit, under the direction of Deputy Dick Brooks, helps to ensure the safety of all visitors to the building, as well as staff.
