By necessity, the Sheriff’s Office has a large fleet of vehicles.  Most of these vehicles are purchased through the State of Michigan’s purchasing program, allowing us to obtain the best price on vehicles designed specifically for police purposes. 

Boats, snowmobiles, personal watercraft, a mobile command center, various trucks, vans and trailers all make up the Sheriff’s Department’s fleet. One full-time mechanic performs vehicle maintenance and repairs for most of the fleet. Major repairs are completed by area auto repair shops.
