Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA)

What are WEAs?
Wireless Emergency Alerts, or WEAs, are special safety messages sent to your cell phone during an emergency.

They warn you about things like:

  • Bad storms

  • Natural disasters

WEAs are not normal text messages. They make a loud sound and strong vibration so you notice them right away.

  3. Find Wireless Emergency Alerts: Within the chosen category, locate "Wireless Emergency Alerts".

  4. Enable Alerts: Toggle the setting to turn on alerts or select which types of alerts you want to receive.

For iPhones
