The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office is now a drop-off site for E-Waste “Electronics” Recycling!

Please refer to this guide for what items you can bring here for recycling.

Drop-off Times: Monday – Thursday, 8am-4pm and Friday, 8am-3pm.

Drop-off Location: Come into the main entrance of the Sheriff's Office and let the support staff know what you have. Based on what you have and the size of your items, we may wheel a cart out, or we may have you drive over to the other side of the building.

Michigan Road Kill Salvage Application

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources requires a person to obtain a free salvage permit to possess wildlife killed in vehicular collisions.

To file a Citizen's Complaint, complete the Citizen Complaint Form. Once completed, this can be dropped off or mailed to the Sheriff's Office, 640 River St., Allegan, MI 49010.

Hours

The Lobby Hours of the Sheriff's Office are as follows:

Monday - Thursday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm.

Allegan County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Corrections Officers are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. (While on-duty, it’s rare that they are sitting at a desk, near a phone.)

To reach an on-duty officer, contact Allegan County Central Dispatch: 269-673-3899 and they will contact the officer to return your call.
To leave a message for an officer that will be received on their next shift worked, call 269-673-0500, and leave a message on the officer’s extension. (Keep in mind that most officers don’t work a Monday through Friday schedule— their days off may come in the middle of the week.)

Livescan Fingerprinting
For Allegan County Residents Only.

Livescan Fingerprinting services are available at the Sheriff's Office by Appointment only. *You MUST have government issued photo identification showing your date of birth with you.

Concealed Pistol License: Cost for CPL Prints: $15.00. *If you are coming for CPL fingerprints, you need to get your application from the Clerk's Office first or we can not do your prints.
