Property Records
The Allegan County Equalization Department provides online access to Township and City parcel information through our PRD (Public Record Data) system. This tool lets you search, review, and print basic property records from your computer.
What Information is Available
The data in the PRD system comes directly from each local assessor after the March Board of Review. When provided by the local unit, you may see:
- Property address
- Owner and taxpayer information
- Current assessed and taxable values
- Tax roll descriptions
- Available sales data
- Parcel maps (as of December 31 of the previous tax year)
Important
- Only the information authorized by local assessors is shown online.
- If you need details not available on the website—such as building or improvement information—you will need to contact the local assessing office.
- The Equalization Department does not maintain building attribute data.

Tax Maps
To look up a parcel on a tax map, follow these easy steps:
- Start with a PRD search to get the parcel number. Property Record Search
- Use the parcel number to identify the township or city and the section/block where the parcel is located.
- Go to the map for that township/city and click on the section shown in the parcel number.
- Once in the correct section, use the remaining digits of the parcel number to find the exact parcel.
Subdivisions
If the parcel is in a subdivision, you can go directly to the township map and use the subdivision index. It lists the subdivision name along with the section where it is located. Click that section to find the parcel.
Understanding Parcel Numbers
All Allegan County parcel numbers begin with County Code 03, but this part is not shown and does not need to be entered.
The first two digits you see in a parcel number represent the local unit (Township or City).
