The Hearing and Vision program aims to identify children with hearing or vision problems early to help reduce preventable problems. Children identified in screenings are referred to professionals. Adults can also have their hearing and vision checked at the Allegan County Health Department screenings.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services’ standardized training guidelines are used throughout the state, and the technicians receive ongoing workshops and updates to ensure quality service to the community.
