Broken Arrow Recycling

- Accepted: electronics, tv/monitor, polystyrene, tires, appliances, metal, & cardboard
- Not accepted: Co-mingled/single stream
- Roofing and construction materials are not accepted
Salem Township Transfer Station
4145 29th Street, Dorr, MI
1/4 mile south of 142nd Avenue, near Burnips
- Open 8:00AM - 3:30PM on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month. This site is closed January and February.
- Accepted: electronics, tv/monitor ($3 fee), polystyrene, tires, appliances, metal, & co-mingled/single stream
- Bulky trash disposal option for a fee
- Roofing and construction materials are not accepted

- Open 8:00AM - 4:00PM Monday - Thursday, 8:00AM - 3:00PM Friday
- Accepted: electronics
- Drop off location: Come to the main entrance of the Sheriff's Office for direction. Based on size of items, we may ask that you drive to the South parking lot for unloading.
- You DO NOT need a Resource Recovery card to drop off electronics at this site. Any resident of Allegan County may bring electronics to this location.
Additional Information
- Appliances accepted: refrigerators, air conditioners, microwaves, freezers, washing machines and dryers, dehumidifiers, and dishwashers.
- Tires: Each household may recycle up to 4 tires per year with resource recover card. If you have more than 4 tires please check our recycling events page and register for a scrap tire collection.
- Polystyrene (Styrofoam) accepted: hard rigid foam, cups, meat trays, egg cartons, packing material, coolers. Types of foam not accepted: packing peanuts, insulation, and soft foam.
- Comingled/single stream recycling is accepted at Salem Township Transfer Station, but it is not currently accepted at Broken Arrow Recycling.

Residents are responsible for unloading materials into appropriate containers.
